Admin Internship Opportunity

Introduction
AFROCAB Treatment Access Partnership is for an Admin Intern to support our Admin function with a range of administrative and clerical tasks. This opportunity is ideal for someone eager to gain practical experience and build a strong foundation in administration and procurement.
Organization Summary:
AFROCAB Treatment Access Partnership is a leading African network of HIV community leaders and advocates dedicated to accelerating access to optimal HIV and comorbidity treatments and prevention products. Operating primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, AFROCAB has a secretariat in Zambia and a presence in 22 countries. Established in 2011, AFROCAB facilitates community-driven treatment access dialogues with multinational and generic drug manufacturers, policymakers, UN agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders involved in HIV drug development, diagnostics, and clinical research. Currently, AFROCAB focuses on three strategic areas:

Strengthening Advocacy for Health Commodity Access Across National, Regional, and Global Platforms

Forging Alliances and Enhancing the Capacity of National and Regional Networks

Enhancing country-level responses and coordination
These efforts aim to create an ecosystem approach to delivering high-quality, cost-effective HIV and comorbidity treatments across Africa.
Key Responsibilities:

General Office Support: Help with filing, organizing documents, drafting emails or letters, and managing schedules.

Meeting & Event Support: Assist in planning and setting up meetings, including preparing materials and booking venues.
• Communication Handling: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.

Supplies & Office Maintenance: Keep track of office supplies and help order what’s needed; ensure the office is tidy and well-organized.

Team Assistance: Help team members with preparing reports, presentations, and travel arrangements.

Procurement Help: Support with getting quotes from suppliers and keeping records of purchases; support with monitoring and managing inventory of office supplies and equipment.

IT Support (Basic): Help staff with small tech issues (e.g., connecting to Wi-Fi, using a printer), and update records of office IT equipment.
Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Procurement, or a related field

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
